MUSICAL THEATRE CAMP
Robidoux Resident Theatre is proud to present its fifth
Musical Theatre Camp. This four-week camp will be held at
our venue, Robidoux Landing Playhouse, with a four-hour-a-
day, five-day-a-week program.

CLASSES: April 7, 14, 21, 28, May 5, 12, 2012

MAKE BELIEVE MAGIC
Preschool – ages 3-5
Saturdays 10:00AM (50 minutes)

Objectives:
Students will begin to explore both verbal and non-verbal expression along with storytelling. Activities will allow them to express themselves as both individuals and in a group setting. Students will explore making props and costume pieces for their performance at the end of the session for parents, grandparents and friends.


SEUSSVILLE
Grades K-3
Saturdays 11:00AM (60 minutes)

Objectives:
Using Dr. Seuss stories, the students will continue to advance their interactive skills. Theatre skills such as diction, articulation, memorization, projection and body movement will be explored in order to enhance their acting development. The classes will end with a performance of a Seuss story for parents, grandparents and friends.


ACTING FOR THE THEATRE
Grades 4-6
Saturdays 1:00PM (75 minutes)

Objectives:
Students will work in scene study to develop their understanding of character development, action and re-action, internal and external motivation in comic, dramatic and musical forms. This class will end in a group project that will demonstrate their beginning processes of becoming a strong theatre student.
A variety of appropriate level literature will be used in Acting for the Theatre. Parents, grandparents and friends are invited to attend the final class.
